1st Project

3 CANVAS
ARCYLIC PAINT
MODELING PASTE
PALLET KNIFE

It is an abstract painting that deals with the concept of the roles being switched between humans and animals in a traditional painting. Instead of the humans, us, observing the animals in the painting, the animal is looking out to the humans.

What i focused on in this painting was the texture of the paint created by the pallet knife. The pallet knife that I use did not have typical 'tear drop' or 'semi round' shape. The shape was more similar to a tool that is used to apply cake icing. I can't describe it......

The black canvas served as background that supports the two canvas in the front and acts a border. Additionally, the front two canvas can stand alone as an abstract piece, but when viewed together it forms the eyes of a tiger.

It was very annoying. When I finished the two canvas in the front, it looked really "off" if I just displayed them along. So I decided to use another canvas at the back to anchor the two paintings in the front.
